MAUI SNORKELING

Maui snorkeling, on your own schedule.

A private boat rental lets experienced captains choose when to leave, how long to swim, and which approved Maui reef areas suit the day. Discover what makes snorkeling from a boat different from boarding a scheduled group tour.

Our 24-foot twin-hull Glacier Bay carries up to six people and is rented without a crew. We prepare, launch, retrieve, and clean the boat. You provide an eligible operator and make safe decisions based on conditions.

WHERE TO GO

Choose a suitable spot, not just the most famous one.

Molokini, Turtle Town, and Olowalu are well-known names, but safe conditions vary dramatically by wind, swell, current, visibility, permitted access, and operator experience. Start with the itinerary planner, then confirm feasibility with our team and current forecasts.

Never assume a destination is reachable merely because it appears on a map. Use charted navigation routes and only lawful anchoring or mooring options.

GOOD TO KNOW

Explore respectfully, use approved moorings, and follow marine wildlife protections.

YOUR COMFORT FIRST

A flexible boat day for experienced crews.

Pack drinking water, sun protection, a towel, and a dry bag. Snorkeling equipment can be rented separately; check fit before departure. Assign a responsible lookout who stays aboard when others enter the water.

Snorkeling is not risk-free. All snorkelers should be capable swimmers, check conditions before entering, and avoid the water when surf, current, or wind makes it unsafe.

RESPECT THE REEF

Let Maui’s marine life stay wild.

Observe honu (green sea turtles) from at least NOAA’s recommended ten feet and give additional room when needed. Never touch, chase, feed, or crowd marine animals. Float clear of live coral and do not remove shells or other natural materials.

A successful snorkeling day is one in which your group—and the reef—finishes as safely as it began.
